Schedule

Pre-Conf
June 18

Silicon Valley Bank
9am - noon

Intimidated by data structures and algorithms? Fearing the traditional whiteboard interview? Has your educational journey not yet presented you with a proper introduction to the classic data structures of computer science and Big-O notation? Let's take some time to tackle these topics and level up your CS skillset!

1pm - 4pm

In the Intro to Data Structures session, we started from scratch and learned how to build Linked Lists, Stacks and Queues using pure JavaScript. Now we're going to spend the afternoon building up from there to master Binary Trees and k-ary Trees, and Hash Tables.

AWS Skills Center
5pm - 7pm

Code Katas are a fun way to do coding exercises, in any language you want. It's a good practice to keep increasing your skills as a coder. You can practice the same kata over and over to continue improving, get feedback from others, and move on to more difficult problems to solve.

June 19

Union Station
10:10am

Meet up with your fellow hackers for a ride up to Seattle!

AWS Skills Center
9am - noon

In this morning workshop, we'll build and iterate on an app that takes advantage of the server components architecture to build a high-performance application. Along the way, we'll get comfortable with best practices in React routing, caching, and data loading.

1pm - 4pm

Knowledge of AI tooling is critical for future proofing the careers of React developers, and the Vercel suite of AI tools is an approachable on-ramp. In this course, we'll take a closer look at the Vercel AI SDK and how this can help React developers build streaming interfaces with JavaScript and Next.js. We'll also incorporate additional 3rd party APIs to build and deploy a music visualization app.

Pacific Central Station
4:15pm

Meet up with your fellow hackers for a ride down to Seattle!

Stoup Brewing (Capitol Hill)
7pm - 9pm
Welcome Reception & Pre-Registration

The Welcome Reception will be an opportunity for folks to pre-register, get their badge, pickup swag and hang out with fellow attendees.

The answer is: yes, you can buy booze with a JSON web token! Join this hands-on workshop to learn how mobile driver's license apps leverage a special JSON Web Token and W3C standard called Verifiable Credentials to digitally prove to both the vendor and the delivery company that a buyer is of legal drinking age.
14:00
"Something is broken": are hopefully words you never have to hear from your users. Even worse is when you don’t know how to fix that “something”. Join this workshop to learn how to make sure users are heard, alerts are alerting, and priorities are prioritized. Spend your dev cycles more on new features and less on digging through logs, trying to figure out how to repro an issue, or guessing what part of your codebase is the culprit.
