June 18
Intimidated by data structures and algorithms? Fearing the traditional whiteboard interview? Has your educational journey not yet presented you with a proper introduction to the classic data structures of computer science and Big-O notation? Let's take some time to tackle these topics and level up your CS skillset!
In the Intro to Data Structures session, we started from scratch and learned how to build Linked Lists, Stacks and Queues using pure JavaScript. Now we're going to spend the afternoon building up from there to master Binary Trees and k-ary Trees, and Hash Tables.
Code Katas are a fun way to do coding exercises, in any language you want. It's a good practice to keep increasing your skills as a coder. You can practice the same kata over and over to continue improving, get feedback from others, and move on to more difficult problems to solve.
June 19
Meet up with your fellow hackers for a ride up to Seattle!
In this morning workshop, we'll build and iterate on an app that takes advantage of the server components architecture to build a high-performance application. Along the way, we'll get comfortable with best practices in React routing, caching, and data loading.
Knowledge of AI tooling is critical for future proofing the careers of React developers, and the Vercel suite of AI tools is an approachable on-ramp. In this course, we'll take a closer look at the Vercel AI SDK and how this can help React developers build streaming interfaces with JavaScript and Next.js. We'll also incorporate additional 3rd party APIs to build and deploy a music visualization app.
Meet up with your fellow hackers for a ride down to Seattle!
The Welcome Reception will be an opportunity for folks to pre-register, get their badge, pickup swag and hang out with fellow attendees.
